Newborough Cricket Club are a friendly club with good ambition and detailed plans (permission already approved) for a new pavilion. We will be playing 1st XI cricket on a saturday in the Tucker Gardner Cambs Division 2 again in 2012 having enjoyed an excellent mid-table finish in 2011.We will also be back in Rutland Division 2 on Sundays having been promoted as Champions of Division 3 in 2011. We still intend to blood our youngsters in this team as part of their ongoing development. Our 2nd X1 will play Hunts Division 4 again on Saturdays (with some games on sundays) and will also play Rutland Division 5 on Sundays, after achieving back-to-back promotions from divisions 7 & 6 in 2010 & 2011.

We also play in the 20/20 midweek league where we blood our younger players and give them vital experience & development without the result being critical. We will also try to play a number of friendlies. We are looking to expand/develop the number of youngsters playing and have level 1 and 2 coaches amongst our membership and intend to run a youth team (either U-9 or U-11) for the first time in 2012. We continue to be on the look out for new/additional players.
