Newborough Cricket Club is a friendly club with good ambition and a new pavilion underway. We will be playing 1st XI cricket on a saturday in the Tucker Gardner Cambs Division 2 again in 2013 having just missed out on promotion in 2012. We will also be in Rutland Division 2 again on Sundays. We still intend to blood our youngsters in this team as part of their ongoing development. Our 2nd X1 will play Hunts Division 3 for the 1st time ever in 2013 having been promoted as part of a restructure at the end of 2012. We will also play Rutland Division 5 again on Sundays.

We will also try and play occasional midweek friendlies to give younger players game experience without the result being critical. This will be dependent on availability, which in 2012 was poor because of exams/studying. We are looking to expand/develop the number of youngsters playing and have level 1 and 2 coaches amongst our membership and will have 3 youth teams in 2013 at Under 9, 11 and 13. New players are welcome at all ages as we continue to be on the look out for new/additional players.
